Sky Atlantic

I don't know how many Sky subscribers there are, or how many of them have seen anything on the new Sky Atlantic channel. But anyone who has, will probably see where I'm coming from.

Sky Atlantic could be one of the best things Sky have ever done to boost their ratings and subscribers. Just in case you don't know, Sky Atlantic shows just US shows, mostly drama, and is exclusive to Sky. It may never make it's way to Virgin or BT Vision.

I started watching the night the channel went live, they opened with Martin Scorsese's Boardwalk Empire. It's probably the best written, and best acted shows I've seen. Every episode draws you in and is packed full of emotions and drama. I think on the first night, I described it on Twitter as "epic".

The cop drama Blue Bloods is also an excellent show, starring Tom Selleck in his first show I've seen since Magnum. This also draws you in with great drama and heavy emotions, and for this reason I could even says it's better than Magnum. Although there aren't any cars as beautiful as Magnum's Ferrari 308.

So if you've watched Sky Atlantic I'm sure you'll understand me, and if you haven't, it's about time you did.
