So we've now got WebOS 2.2 and 3 new devices coming this summer.
I've looked at the TouchPad, Veer and Pre3 devices being launched along side the new WebOS. I have to say I'm impressed. The Palm range, which I remember from my first Sony Clie, has really moved along and could be a major player in the smartphone business.
The TouchPad may not take off, but will probably do better than the current range of Android based tablets though not as well as Apple's iPad. Though the Veer and Pre3 could do very well. They are both very capable devices, one small, one medium, delivering a nice looking device and nice looking operation.
The Veer is far too small for what I would need, but will be great for someone needing a small smartphone. The Pre3 looks like my cup of tea, with a good screen size, well specced and easy to use. Come June, I may swap my iPhone for the new Pre. We'll just need to see what Apple have on offer this summer.
I was VERY impressed by the Pre 3's press release. Looks like a solid contender. We may have, for the first time in a long time, a 'big three' choice of phones in the iPhone, Nokia N8 and Pre 3.
ReplyDeleteQuite honestly, I haven't looked at the N8 at all. Nokia are on their way out, even they admitted it. There are far too many Android handsets about to be considered major, so it could be Pre vs IPhone.
